A precisely cut-to-size dummy module covers the corresponding roof area and is then – depending on the system – covered with traditional roofing materials (e.g. tiles) or the Solrif® system.
The dummy modules are supplied in standard sizes and are cut to size and installed on site – precisely adapted to the structural conditions.
Cutting
To avoid scratches or damage to the front, cut the dummy module on the back (unpainted side).
Completion
Water drainage beneath the louvre module must be ensured by using a membrane. Further measures to improve rainproofing may be necessary.
Connection
To ensure that all metal parts are electrically connected, it is recommended that the frame be connected to the sheet metal – e.g. by screwing. Other solutions are permissible provided they are permanent and secure.
Please observe the installation and cutting recommendations of Ernst Schweizer AG – (Factsheet: Dummy modules for Solrif BIPV roof system).
