Function & System Principle
Dummy modules are inactive modules that are visually matched to active Solrif PV modules. They consist of a 4 mm thick aluminium composite panel framed with SOLID Solrif D profiles. By cutting them to size on site, numerous interference points and special connections can be executed in a standardised and system-compliant manner.
The dummy modules are delivered to the construction site in standard sizes matching the active modules and are then cut to size and installed on site. The filled area is subsequently sealed to be rainproof using cover plates or system components.

Recommendations for installation & assembly
Cutting
To avoid scratches or damage to the fully black-painted front, the blind module should only be cut to size on the rear (unpainted side) using a suitable cutting tool (e.g. a saw).
Finishing & water drainage
Water drainage beneath the blanking module must be ensured by suitable covers (e.g. sheeting or metal plates). If necessary, additional measures to improve rainproofing may be required.
Electrical connection
To ensure that all metal parts are electrically conductive, it is recommended to connect the frame and sheet metal to one another. Drilling through the frame and sheet metal followed by screw fastening has proven effective. Other solutions are permissible provided they are permanently and securely implemented.
