Sockhof Mountain Farm, Oberaudorf

The Sockhof mountain farm in the picturesque municipality of Oberaudorf in Bavaria is an outstanding example of the use of our AxSun in-roof photovoltaic system with hot air generation. Working closely with HUBER Dachtechnik, Ernst Schweizer AG, the customer Sepp Steinmüller (www.sockhof.de) and the module manufacturer AxSun, we have installed a ‘Solrif’ in-roof solar system, which is specifically designed for a hay drying system.

The system comprises 108 AX M-60 3.2 premium ar sol in-roof modules, each with 275 Wp, delivering a total output of 29.70 kWp. The modules are not only high-performing but also look very attractive in their elegant premium black design.

A special feature of this installation is the use of warm air. The warm air generated by the photovoltaic system is extracted and used to dry hay. This innovative system demonstrates how Solrif solar systems can be tailored to the specific needs of our customers. By utilising the generated warm air, the efficiency of the system is maximised and the farm’s operating costs are further reduced.

Michaelstraße Garden City, Murnau

Gartenstadt Michaelstraße in Murnau is an impressive example of forward-thinking construction. Here, we have installed roof-integrated Solrif® systems on all the roofs of a complex comprising six apartment blocks. This project demonstrates how aesthetic photovoltaic roof integration can be achieved in multi-storey residential buildings.

A particular highlight of this project is the intelligent use of the solar power generated. The buildings are connected via a ring circuit, allowing tenants to share the solar power from the roof. This not only promotes a sustainable energy supply but also strengthens the sense of community among the residents.

The combination of environmentally friendly energy generation and aesthetic roof design makes the Michaelstraße garden city a showcase project for sustainable living.

Diringlo – Luxury holiday apartments, Ohlstadt

The Diringlo in Ohlstadt is more than just a holiday apartment – it is a rural architectural gem from the 16th century that has been carefully restored to its former glory. The treasures of traditional Alpine rural architecture and building fabric have been gently uncovered and sustainably restored. Every element has been individually addressed and, in accordance with the latest principles of sustainable building, reintegrated into the overall ensemble in a way that is harmonious both visually and in terms of materials.

In this harmonious blend of tradition and modernity, we have installed an aesthetically pleasing in-roof photovoltaic system using the Solrif system. The terracotta-coloured solar panels on the garage roof – virtually unique in Germany – generate their own solar power on site. This is converted into heating energy by a heat pump and feeds the heating panels in the house.

In this way, Diringlo combines history with modern sustainability. The Solrif installation helps to preserve the building’s historic character whilst simultaneously supplying green energy, thereby underlining the concept of sustainable restoration.
